I received this laptop as a gift after having the Razer blade 13 for so many years. I still heavily use my Razer 13 and thought the newer laptops would be of same quality. After holding off using my new laptop with my busy daily life, I finally get around to it, but to find out it keeps crashing after setting it up. The laptop just so happened to just be about a month out of warranty, so I was told, i don’t know when the person who gifted me it had purchased it. I pay $99 to send to Razer for diagnostics. I am told it is motherboard failure and have to pay $1215.95 for the part. For a laptop that I had not put any money into purchasing and barely if at all touched, it’s quite silly to me to be paying about over half the retail price of the device.
Has anyone had this issue and are the parts then under warranty? Has anyone gotten it repaired and it not having an issue anymore, I’m not willing to spend time on an uncertain solution.
Razer should provide included extended warranty on these devices especially that part as well since this issue seems to be common upon my findings. It is all too crazy for device that has been sitting unused can just not work. I was so excited since my blade 13, that I still heavily use daily, has lasted me this long with little to no problems and I’ve had that one for over 4 years now .
