I’ve been having this issue where the laptop does not want to start up. The current situation is that the laptop doesn’t have any fans spinning or any thing show up on the screen when I turn the power on. All I see is a pulsing green light. Keyboard backlight not on either. The laptop was working yesterday fine not sure what happened today. I take good care of my laptop by regularly cleaning dust out every few months and run it on a laptop stand so it gets plenty of airflow. I even got a replacement razor battery a year ago so i doubt its the battery.
I have tried many of the common fixes:
- unplugged, the battery, and the power cable while holding the power button for 10 to 15 seconds. No work
- switched the RAM slots, removed one / swapped its slots then tried the other. No work
- switched out the M.2 boot drive out for another. No work
- held the power button for 60 seconds (some guy on Reddit mentioned this) no work
-removed CMOS battery for 5 minutes and placed it back and tried to power cycle, no luck
- plugged in an external monitor to see if screen was issue, no work
- Removed the fans, to see if something was stopping the fans from spinning, no work
- unplugged battery compleatly and used AC power to perform all the above troubleshooting. No work.
- changed outlets that adapter is plugged into. No luck.
I’m just not sure what my options are at this point if anyone has had this issue, please let me know. I really don’t want to have to send this in
