My Razer Blade 15 2020 Base Model RZ09-0328X will suddenly black screen when using certain programs. Most notably, usage of programs like Google Maps or games will sometimes result in the laptops screen turning black (not off, but still lit in a black screen), while the fans kick in and all lighting on the laptop and peripherals will freeze. I’ve tried checking to see if the CPU or GPU utilization spikes, but the metrics seem inconclusive. Sometimes it’ll do it with just regular use.
Oddly enough, this occurs most often with usage of Google Maps on any browser, with say a 50% chance that it’ll give me a black screen freeze. Most recently, the game Unrailed will do this 100% of the time on startup. I don’t think either of these programs should be intensive on system resources, so I’m unsure as to why this is happening.
Does anyone have a similar experience? I’ve looked everywhere on the web, but can’t seem to find anyone else with a similar problem. Anyone know what the problem is, or how to fix it?
