Razer Blade 15 advanced 2019 screen replacement
Hello
I would like to have some answers regarding a repair I am planning to do.
The screen of my Razer Blade 15 (which is no longer under warranty) is damaged and a white spot has recently appeared. I first contacted Razer Support for an estimate and it should practically cost me the price of a new computer which is ridiculous.
So I decided to find the part online to order it and do the repair on site. I easily found the LCD panel with the manufacturer number (Sharp) at a reasonable price ($155) and I contacted several stores that say they can make the change, even if I'm not sure they know well the Razer computers.
I also find on Ebay the complete original Razer part (LCD + screen protector) but it costs much more (800$ with import fees because I live in Europe).
My question is: is the LCD part alone easy to change? Knowing that on the Blade 15 there are plastic borders stuck to the screen that seem complicated to remove. Or is it better to plan to change the whole part to avoid damaging the original screen borders.
Thank you
