Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2020 excessive fan noise while on idle
Hi, I bought my Razer Blade 15 Advanced early 2020 model about two months ago. Everything was working great until recently I've been getting very loud fan noise while idle or browsing on chrome/google drive. The performance is still functioning like normal, but the fan noise will get very loud at intervals constantly, even when having nothing open. It gets so loud that my laptop sounds like a spaceship. I would expect this from gaming, but not from typing up an assignment using google docs.
I've checked the CPU and it is around 4%. I've updated all drivers. Manually selecting the lowest fan speed setting in Synapse made no difference- it was like it wasn't registering at all. My power settings are set to balanced. I uninstalled Synapse and it appears to be slightly better, but I would really like to keep Synapse on my laptop. I've gone through threads with similar issues, tried fixing with the suggested solutions, and I'm still getting this loud fan noise. It happened rather suddenly as well- fan noise was normal until three days ago when it began whirring very loudly, would drop slightly, then accelerate again, constantly- completely disproportionate to the workload. I haven't seen any update for this issue in any threads, and was hoping to get a solution here, or something else I can try? Is this still an issue for anyone else?
I bring my laptop to my seminars for my in-person classes and I would really like to not have it sound like an aircraft taking off every five minutes.
