RAZER BLADE 15 Advanced (Early 2021) x0368 Charging Issues! | Razer Insider

Same issue here with an Early 2021 Blade 15 Advanced QHD x0368.

I contacted Support and they ask all this battery log information and laptop data but never suggest a proper fix. I also think they are clearly avoiding admitting to this issue. They should consider putting a team together and fixing these issues. Future buyers beware! All of the other cases noted above and in other threads have yet to be formally addressed by someone with authority at RAZER.

@Razer Admin When will we receive a helpful response from the Razer organization? Many thousands spent by consumers here for bricked laptops. Thought we would find help from the manufacturer in this thread?..

Also the 100W USBC Charger is not a real fix when this laptop demands the 230w to function at its full potential.

If I wanted a basic laptop I would have spent less on something else.

We need real results from your research team and we have needed it for years now…

Where’s the response?  Where’s the fix?

😡

Same issue and thoughts here. I have searched everywhere and am not finding any answers. I have replaced the adapter twice, replaced the battery, downgraded windows. Only solution is to use USBC and the AC adapter at the same time while setting my power settings to run at full speed while on battery.

Why is this marked as Solved??

Your response doesn't solve the issue... Thanks

NOPE my answer does not solve the problem. I gave a terrible workaround that I am not even sure lets the laptop use the full power. I think if they (razer support) marks these as solved they don't have to internally track that this is an issue.

I have reposted this issue in another thread to ensure it shows unsolved.

Razer knows what the problem is. They are doing damage control instead of admiting to a design flaw with the port/power management that would force them to do a recall and re design. So much wasted potential with such a beautiful design.

I was quoted $2000 to replace the battery and the Motherboard.

I also asked to talk to senior management and never received a call

Just received a 20% discount if I have them do the work. @a_figment  Sounds like you might be right!

@Razer Admin When are you going to stand by the Razer name and support your customers when they tell you about a design issue? You are responsible!

I received a reply on the other thread I posted like this one saying that the thermal paste needs to be replaced between the CPU, GPU, and Heat sink. This apparently fixed their issue…

Anyone want to try it?

@Drftman17 I highly doubt repasting GPU and CPU is what fixed the issue especially when Razer has been spending the resources to replace the whole motherboard for people who send them in with this issue. That case was likely some result of having things unplugged especially the battery. I’ve done it before on my old 2018 blade, not difficult after watching some tutorials on YouTube. Just take your time. You’ll get better thermals and maybe your issue will magically fix itself.

I still think this thread has pinpointed the issue.

That or some power management conflict triggered by windows 11.

But it wont even charge powered off.

But users report synapse updates triggering the issue

And there's nothing mechanically wrong with the port or connection.

But a motherboard swap is how razer fixes this particular issue?

This tells me the issue is hardware related, possibly triggered by software

We already know about battery bloat…

WHAT ARE THEY DOING…

This is ridiculous. Someone get Linus on the phone.

I was going to attempt to reconnect the power port on my 2021 advanced model, but unfortunately it is soldered on. Inexperienced, and didn’t want to risk screwing up the solder job, or completing the job and the issue still persisting, and being stuck with this desktop. Just returned mine to the seller. Before return, I did swap the battery from my 2018 model that charges fine. No luck. Its not the battery, THEY KNOW IT, AND WANT TO CHARGE YOU FOR IT. Gonna give MSI Stealth series a try.

My question now is, has Razer silently addressed whatever this design flaw is in newer models, or did they just continue to KNOWINGLY send units with a design flaw, that warrants a recall and redesign, to users? Furthermore I'd be interested in knowing the latest model year that this issue is affecting. Could we see people with 2022/23 models finding out about these threads any month now XD
