Razer Blade 15: Microphone Issue

Microphone is simply not working. I am aware of all the generic things that could be wrong, ie. wrong device selected, microphone muted, etc. Is there a way to get the mic to work? Not sure if I ever even used it. Thanks!

    I have the same issue today, microphone was working in the morning and suddenly does not in the afternoon. No new updates installed by windows. followed all these troubleshooting steps too: 1. Disable/enable microphone in sounds settings 2. Reinstall the microphone driver through device manager 3. Installed realtek latest audio driver 4. Run troubleshooter (which failed) 5. ensure that mic is enabled for desktop apps any suggestion?

    I've had the same issue for about a year now and razer recommended I RMA my laptop. I can't do without it so I just succumbed to using an external mic (headset). It's not a solution to the problem but if you really need to use a mic, you can this way... might not be useful but I thought I'd share my experience.
