razer blade 17 uhd 144hz 3070ti g sync

So when I look up my model, it says it has g sync, but ive updated everything that can be updated, ive gotten synapse, ive done all the things, and there is no g sync option to be found? So im wondering, is there only a g sync option once i use an external monitor, or am i missing something? kind of defeats the purpose of such a high refresh rate and such a nice display if my screen is gonna tare cause no sync? if i knew i was going to have use an external monitor for g sync i would have just got a desktop.
