Razer Blade 2017 Thunderbolt 3 using optimus?
I've been wanting to preorder the oculus rift s. The downside is that it uses a display port which the razer blade 2017 does not have, which means I would have to use an adapter. Now the thing is there is no hdmi to dp adapter. But there is a thunderbolt 3 to dp adapter. Which is exactly what i need, except the thunderbolt 3 port on the razer is wired to the igpu. I have been researching and have seen multiple people saying that "The 1060 will handle the game rendering, and will communicate the output to the intel graphics card, which will output on thunderbolt" Now this is great news, but some others are reporting their gaming on external monitors are not taking advantage of the 1060. So please someone confirm with me asap as I am planning to preorder the oculus rift s by tomorrow.

Did you get your Rift S? I have the same Blade model and I haven't bought the headset because of this! Please let me know if it works or not.

Hi, sorry to say this but the Razer blade will not work with the rift s as the rift s requires the port to be connected to the discrete gpu. I have chosen to get an oculus rift and I have to say it works great, except steamvr which lags like hell so I stick with using the oculus store
