Razer Blade 2018 HDMI Port not working?

Hi, I recently just bought a 2nd hand TV Screen. I tried connecting to the TV via HDMI but nothing comes up on the TV Screen, its just black. I feel like my laptop is definitely connected to the TV somehow, just because if its not connected the TV screen shows a "No Signal" message. Also should note that it shouldn't be the TV's HDMI issue as my housemate can connect his laptop it. Any advice? Thanks I'm thinking of buying a Mini Display Port to HDMI Adapter, or a USB-C to HDMI Adapter, would this solve the problem? and if it does, which adapter should i get?

    Hey there! Thanks for posting your Razer Blade's HDMI concern on our Support board. Your friend's laptop can connect to the TV through HDMI, is that correct? Have you tested a different HDMI cable? Have you pressed "FN + F4" on your laptop and selected either "Extend, Duplicate, or Second display only" as display settings? Please send me a PM together with your Razer Blade's serial number so I can check its updates. Let's continue from there.
