Razer Blade (2021) can't use dedicated GPU with thunderbolt ports? | Razer Insider

I’m using a new display which only has USB C/Thunderbolt ports.

I’ve noticed when I’m using the external display (connected via thunderbolt) games or anything 3d/heavy to render was performing very slowly, however when I drag the tab over to my laptop display, things run smoothly at the same resolution.

I monitored performance and found out that the external display was directly using my Intel Integrated Graphics whereas when I moved the tab over to my laptop display the NVIDIA graphics card took over, hence the performance difference. After experimenting with GPU settings in BIOS,  I suspect that its a hardware design issue.

Can anyone tell me if the Thunderbolt ports on my laptop are exclusively connected to the integrated graphics processor instead of the dedicated NVIDIA GPU?

Does the HDMI Port connect to the GPU and is there a known way to connect the laptop HDMI port to the monitor's USB C Port?

Model: Blade 17 Advanced (Mid 2021)

If this is the case it seems like a poor design choice. Surely most people are using a Razer blade for gaming and would prefer to use the dedicated GPU over integrated for their external display??
