there is no solution to this?

if this continues like this I'm going to use corsair peripherals
got the same problem here razer central consumes like 30% of the cpu and heats up my cpu a lot so i hope it gets fixed soon
This started happening to me today at a constant 25%, wasn't like this last night.
same like this happen to me like only today but i unstalled every razer sofware then dowload the last installer and for now no problem but idk if it will last

Michelle

if that some tip how I can fix it is, can you send this to me too?

No solution, support will ask you logs… But the software team seems to be on vacation. If no fix this week, I will ask my money back and never buy Razer again. Many people think the software is a mining malware, that’s why it consumes CPU and need to be launch as windows service...

Hi @turborzeznik @Loglis7 ,

Thank you for sharing your issue with us here. I have sent you a private message. Please check it.

Same issues with my system. As long as the Razer Central Service is running it is using excess CPU and Memory and the fans are screaming. Shutting down Razer Central and everything on the system returns to normal and runs as it is supposed to.

A prompt fix for this is requested and direct messages to individual on this thread is not helping everyone else experiencing this issue.

Same for me…. Razer Central Service takes between 15 and 20% of my (old ) CPU.

I agree with DethBeCmsU, if a solution has been sent individualy, why is it not officially published ?

Can’t you fix this in a new version ?

Only solution for now is to uninstall the soft …. hopless….

This is getting sooo annoying and constantly turn of Synapse and load with games and than turn off again.. but even in game because it use so much CPU, temp getting higher than normal. :(  hope this will be fixed soon.
and no  way to install older version as installers for older version still pickup new version from server

Hi all,

Our engineering team created a new installer to fix this issue. I have sent it to you via PM. Please check it. Thank you!

Michelle

I would also like the new installer too please

I would also like the new installer please

Thanks

DO NOT USE NEW INSTALLER

my keyboard’s lights are off now and CPU usage the same as before this “fix”.

Same problem on both of my PC. Only I have WMI process spiking
WMI Provider Host on both spike a lot. As soon I turn off synapse it stops…
It took me 2h to figure it out why CPU is so active.

Are you able to move the below thread into this support section and re-direct this thread to it?

Reason being that thread has more technical information and logs provided which will be more useful. It includes possible avenue of resolution to Razer software developers.

Hey everyone! This thread could be related to our Razer Synapse emerging concern. We recommend checking for any available Synapse updates regularly. We also need your cooperation in submitting your Synapse logs and MSInfo to our Support Team through this link. Ensure to collate and upload the files to any online hosting sites and paste the shareable link in your message. Feel free to send me a ping or visit our self-help options should you have other questions or concerns.

Today I started having the same issue as everyone else. My CPU idle temps jumped from 45-50C to 70-75C and Razer Central is using 10-15% of my CPU at all times, even while idle. Uninstalling Razer Synapse causes the temps to return to normal.

Another thread with seemingly the same issue:

 Thread

What we found so far: it seems that AV software interferes somehow with the RazerService, i.e. with (in my case) AVAST and (in another user’s case) AVG installed, the service utilizes a complete core of the CPU leading to high CPU load, leading to higher power consumption, CPU temperatures, fan noise…

Disabling the AV software didn’t resolve it, while UNINSTALLING (and thus leaving AV protection to Windows’ Defender) DID resolve it, the RazerService utilizes < 1% CPU load again after uninstall.

Now it’s everybody’s personal decision to trust to rely on Windows’ Defender as AV solution but for at least some of us it temporarily resolved the high CPU issue - until (i hope) either the AV software and/ or Razer resolves the issue

Hello, good morning,
I have done what a colleague @Deville505 says, I have uninstalled avast antivirus that I had on my computer and it seems that the problem has been solved, I appreciate everyone's collaboration, but even so I understand that Razer should fix its software so that It was compatible with any application installed on a PC, so I am attaching my logs and data from my PC so that they can be reviewed.

(*Omitted the online hosting link for security purposes)

If any more data or information is needed, it will take me a while to answer but I am totally willing to provide it.

Greetings and thank you

its not the antivirus...user reports include commentary on avast, avg etc. this tells us its not the blooming antivirus.

edit: it really gets to me when someone spreads misinformation..if avast or avg et al were the cause, there’d be processes for those freaking out as well, which has been seen in the past with those programs, for causes COMPLETELY unrelated to the problem at hand.
