May you can respond to below two forums so people know that someone is looking at it.

I doubt too many people will look at a brand new thread as a response.

I believe that it is a bigger issue than just razer software! Maybe WMI is here the service that leads other services that communicate with to make requests again and again…. something like that! I don’t know where to go from here my pc is on his knees and nothing i ve tried fixed it!

As you know, for many, if not most of us, this is good news!  Thank you!

It would be wonderful news if they decided to actually fix the issue rather than get some to just believe they will do something about it. The issue has been going on for over two weeks with no fix in sight or any update from Razer support.  It is apparent Razer just wants their peripherals added to the ewaste bin since the high temperatures caused by Razer Synapse software makes their devices unusable in the current versions of software.  It would appear from a few videos and posts on the subject someone is trying to get a class action lawsuit started so people can recover some of their money from all the Razer ewaste products they now own that are unusable for their intended purpose.

Wonder if the companies behind Razer and Avast ever talks to each other?  This is a typical situation where cooperation around a mutual problem should occur. Both risk loosing customers… rapidly.

Have you tried restarting WMI or disable WMI?

There are multiple workarounds suggested in this forum

Restarting WMI is working for me, not that I like doing it every day.

Is there a change log to indicate how/what was the problem that caused it and fixed in this update.

The issue has gone away with latest update now.

What program/module has that version now? Installer is still version 1.12.0.385, Synapse 3 version 20320227 according to Razer Central (version 7.8.381). These are the core programs causing the problems.  (and they are not fixed yet…)

It seems only a handful of people managed to get this not-yet-public update.

I tried check for updates (nothing), tried installing again with latest installer (nothing).

Razer support said this is being rolled out region by region.  I have tried VPN to Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, and still am not able to pick up this update.

I’m UK and it updated for me. Try UK site https://www.razer.com/gb-en/synapse-3 as fresh install.

The actual installer RazerSynapseInstaller_V1.12.0.385 is the same everywhere in the world.  I did “fc /b” compare on different files, and they are all the same.

Whether it is https://www.razer.com/gb-en/synapse-3  or https://www.razer.com/hk-en/synapse-3 or https://www.razer.com/us-en/synapse-3

The key is, before you run the installer, you need to be a UK IP address, then it will go download the new version.  Maybe only the UK server is hosting the new version at the moment.

I VPN to UK before running the installer, and it picked up the new version.

Synapse 3 version is 20230227 (Razer Synapse 3.exe file is 3.1.627.5) while Razer Central.exe is 7.9.0.449

Open Synapse, go to Settings > About and click “Check for updates” button.

Hello Everyone!

A new update for Synapse has just been released (V3.8.228.22313).

To update, launch Razer Synapse 3, click on the Setting button in the top right corner, select About, and check to see if the version is V3.8.228.22313 to confirm that you have the most recent update. If not, click "Check for Updates".

The update as it is being released gradually by region. Please regularly check if you can manually update your Razer Synapse 3 to version V3.8.228.22313.

Not sure if this helps, but worth a try.

Then download the installer again, if lucky, it can pick up the latest update when installer runs.

I am with you 100% on this issue.  Told it has been rolled out region by region, but when I asked support, they told me which region has been rolled out, is information that cannot be shared.
