Hi everyone,
I’ve been experiencing a persistent issue with my Razer Cobra Pro when using the wireless dongle and Razer Mouse Dock Pro (with wireless charging).
❗ Problem:
After the mouse goes to sleep (e.g. after 1 minute of inactivity), it takes 10 to 30 seconds to wake up when I move it.
This only happens when using the dock or dongle — Bluetooth mode works fine, the mouse wakes up within 1–2 seconds.
🛠️ What I’ve already tried:
With the help of ChatGPT, I’ve done a deep investigation and tested the following:
-
Used a high-quality USB-A to USB-C cable (Speedflex) and compared it with others
-
Checked USB connection speeds and descriptors (everything looks fine in USBView)
-
Disabled Enhanced Power Management in the registry
-
Verified power saving settings for USB Root Hubs in Device Manager
-
Checked
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\...
registry keys for additional power flags -
Updated all drivers and firmware
-
Tried different USB ports, including USB 2.0 and USB 3.0
-
Ensured the device is not being suspended by the system
-
Verified with and without mouse lighting effects enabled
Still, the issue remains.
Again, the same hardware over Bluetooth works great — this strongly points to a dongle/dock power management or firmware issue.
Is there a firmware fix, workaround, or known compatibility issue?
I love the Cobra Pro, but this behavior breaks the experience.
Thanks in advance for any help!
