Razer Core X Chroma connecting to a Razer Blade 17 (Late 2019) causing driver trouble | Razer Insider

Hi there!

Here`s my problem, hope anyone can help me with this:

I`m using a Razer Blade 17 (Late 2019) with a RTX 2060 (and the correct and latest Laptop drivers) installed working fine so far.

Now i purchased a Razer Core X Chroma in order to `plug and play` my new Nvidia RTX 4070 ventus 2x with the system , but as I keep on installing the latest drivers (desktop drivers) for this card, this is where the trouble starts.

It seems to me as if the desktop driver for the RTX4070 replaces the laptop driver for the RTX 2060.

Both drivers have the same version number: 546.33 WHQL.

Both are studio-drivers.

I did install the razer GPU switcher by the way, it works fine as well.

As long as I`m using the Core X with the RTX 4070 via Thundbold 3 connected to the Laptop everything works fine .The GPU switcher lets me activate the RTX 4070 over the 2060, all right.

But after disconnecting the Core X, the internal RTX2060 is not working properly. The Laptop freezes and I need to reboot it every hour or so.

This lead me to keeping the Core X disconnected and reinstall the RTX2060 driver.

I suppose it is because the wrong driver (desktop driver instead of laptop driver) is not working with the smaller GPU.

Is there any workaround  to use the new eGPU with the appropriate drivers when being connected to the laptop and another GPU with its different drivers if it is not?

I would appreciate working on 3D models from remote as well as rendering complex scenes from within the office.

Anyone has a clue?

Thanks for your answer in advance.
