Hi,

Has anyone had problems with this setup Core X on a Wndows 10? My Razer Core X charges my laptop but the RX 580 isn't recognised by Win10 OS. The video card seems to be turned off as the fans doesn't start and I get only a blue led turned on under the power connector>

Any suggestion?

Which windows version is that? 1909, 1903, 1809 etc? I don’t have chroma X but on default 1809 stealth 2019 v1 with core v2 setting somehow there was TB software issues, updated to latest 1909 it recognized just fine, I’m using RTX card though but it shouldn’t be issue as well with yours. It’s worth a try, since egpu setting biggest enemy is driver and OS environment.
I’ll move the tab to support hopefully someone will pick you up for checking this further, or you can PM me if you want more troubleshooting try.
Hi Joikansai,
Thank you for your update,
I am really new to this hardware and I really appreciate any help you can give us.
My Windows 10 version 1803.
We have a Core X and we have a AMD Radeon RX580
Do I need a drive or software for rx 580 graphic card to be recofzied by my laptop?
Thanks
UPDATE1:
I will upgrade my Win 10 to 1909 and see if that help.

UPDATE2:
Did upgrade to the 1909 but still when connect the box to my Toshiba Portege X30 still nothing in Device manager.

Principally you’ll need the driver from AMD, but before that it should be recognized from Thunderbolt software as vga video card. Try to update manually your Intel related hardware using Intel hardware update utility or go to toshiba driver support page if there’s any to download Thunderbolt software for your x30.
Problem has been resolved.
Apparently my TB in bios was disabled. I enabled it and everything works.
