Razer cynosa V2 not working at all | Razer Insider

Keyboard just randomly stopped working one day, lights aren’t even turning on. Tried connecting it to another computer, and it’s still not working. Tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting the computer.  Reinstalled razer synapse. Tried the factory reset buttons. Keyboard is not turning on and it is not being recognized by synapse.  On the device manager panel it is saying “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”. The keyboard is also connected directly to the computer, it’s not connected to a USB HUB.

i have the same problem?

I have the same problem. Not detected by windows 11 after update for the second time in 2 months. Tried hard reset, windows update, synapse 2, 3 and 4 beta.

No help from Razer in 7 months ? :(

I fixed the issue with Synapse. Razer support did not held because my warranty on the keyboard was expired by 2 months. I was offered a 10 bucks discount… when signing up for the newsletter.

I did a system reboot prior to the windows and Synapse update. The RGB then worked and Synapse detected the Keyboard. After a hard reset the Keyboard is now working.

I was able to resolve my issue where the keyboard wasn't working and the lights were off. I went into Device Manager, uninstalled all devices under the keyboard section, and did the same for the mouse. Under USB devices, I found one undetected device and uninstalled that as well. Finally, I restarted my laptop without the keyboard plugged in. After the restart, I held down ESC + CTRL + SPACE, plugged the keyboard back in, and then released the keys. The keyboard started working, and now Razer Synapse detects it correctly.
