I have the same problem. I used the mouse for several month without any problem. But sine a few weeks, the mouse would freeze for several seconds. This happens especially after booting, although there currently no update being executed.
Switched to another USB-Port. It got even worse
I was having the same problem. Try to clean the sensor with some isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. It worked for me
