Razer Electra V2 USB - USB not recognized | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
It was working relatively fine and then it just kinda stopped. Literally. Now whenever I plug it in, I get the 'USB malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it' pop-up.

In device manager, I get the following text:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

No physical damage or anything. Anyone know what's up or am I gonna have to buy a new headset?

edit: Still not fixed
Please uninstall Synapse and uninstall the USB driver with the error code 43 then reboot. If you still get the same error, please PM me the serial number of your headset.

I have followed this step and followed all the steps that Razer support has given me via email. None of it has worked. The Razer Synapse installer didn't work either, so I had to open it up in 7Zip and open the installer in that. Even though it is now installed, it doesn't even show up. I sign in and then it disappears, it is then impossible to open.

If that is the case, then the headset is highly likely to be replaced. Please send me your ticket number via PM.
