Razer Kaira Pro Audio Issues | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello,

As the title says I'm having some audio problems with my new Kaira Pros I just bought. The only way I can describe it is its like my audio breaks up or gets choppy or distortion. This problem comes and goes. It happens for about 30 seconds. I've tried all the things I can think of like turning my headset off and back on, repairing it to my Xbox Series X, hard resetting my Xbox and checking to see if I have the latest firmware which I do. I don't know what else the issue could be. Could it be my Series X controller interfering with my headset or my Wi-Fi router? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your headset's audio quality-related concern. Does the same issue happen while connecting/pairing the headset to another gaming console or computer via Xbox Wireless adapter?

To answer your question. Yes it happens on another console and as for the computer I can't tell you that because I do not own a Xbox wireless adapter. I apologize if this is not that helpful with what you where trying to ask. Would you happen to know if this is a know issue or not? I purchased these from my local game store and I love them other than this issue I'm having.

Thanks for confirming. Did you try tweaking your headset's audio settings? Also, try the following steps below:

  • Remove dirt or debris in audio ports and on the audio jack.

  • Operate wireless headsets within the maximum wireless range.

By the way, there's an alert that when the headset goes idle for 10 seconds, it encounters audio issues. This is a confirmed behavior and was posted in the Microsoft community. The MS Xbox Team is looking to resolve the issue in a future update. As an alternative, try using an Xbox One generation controller. Please refer to this link.

Thanks for the replay.

Yes I made a custom EQ and tried one of the default one and it still happens. As for the other steps the first 2 are irrelevant because its a wireless head set and I am roughly 5ft from my console. I will try a Xbox One generation controller and try that out and let you know. Also does that controller have a 3.5mm audio jack or is it the one with no 3.5mm audio jack? I just want to make sure I have the correct one.

Oh! Thanks for pointing that out. You may disregard the 3.5mm headset jack since your Kaira Pro can only connect wirelessly. On the other hand, the Xbox One can pair to your gaming console via wireless. As additional information, there's a 3.5mm jack found on this controller where you can plug a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.

So after a few days with a different controller I think its safe to say there is an issue with the Series X/S controller. I was using an older controller and did not run into audio break up, or choppy/distortion audio. I did how ever have a strange vibration sound come from my left ear cup and putting my hand on that ear cup and on the mic boom did not seem to fix it. I would take my head set off and put it back on again and it would disappear for awhile and then reappear some time later. The time between when it happens is quite random so trying to get an exact time interval is hard.

I see. Thanks for keying in these details. If the odd vibrating sound continues, you may contact where you purchase the headset and request a warranty claim. I’ll be locking this thread now. Feel free to send me a PM anytime or visit our self-help options should you have other questions or concerns.
