Razer Kishi not working

I just received my Razer Kishi for Xbox. I connect it to my Samsung Galaxy S8 and it doesn’t seem to detect that I connected my phone as the status light doesn’t come on. I tried the pass through charging and the status light blinks but the phone doesn’t appear to be charging. I can plug the charging cable directly into my phone and it charges as expected. Any ideas what could be wrong or could I have a bad Kishi?

What happens when you move the joystick around with the Kishi plugged into your phone? Please note that the status indicator will only briefly light up to indicate it is ready to use. The LED will not stay lit to save battery. I highly recommend that you install the Kishi App and use that to test if the phone detects the controller at all.

I have tried the Kishi app and it doesn’t detect the Kishi being attached to my phone. I’ve also tried pressing buttons and moving the joystick around and there is no response. I am able to charge my phone using a usb C cable with no problems however. It seems like a really neat device and I would love to be able to use it with my phone. Thank you for your response.

It may very well be a controller issue, and you may have to get a replacement for it. That said, do you mind sharing a screenshot of your Android build number? In any case, PM me the serial number of the controller so I can help you further isolate the issue. *Locking thread to curb conversation to PMs.
