Razer Kiyo Pro effecting audio and causing crackling sounds

Honestly, I feel like I’ve already tried everything. Just to get it out of the way I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled razer software (synapse3), upgraded to synapse4, ensured all firmware is up to date for both the Kiyo Pro and my Seiren v2 Pro mic, disabled the Kiyo Pro from being used as an audio input device.

I’ve recently upgraded my motherboard and my CPU, this is the first time I’ve attempted to use the webcam since the upgrade and it was not a fun experience. I was listening to music while chatting in a discord call, pulled up synapse to test how the camera looked, and my audio instantly distorted to some demonic echo-chamber of clicks and slowed down music with heavy reverb. I quickly turned off the camera preview by swapping to the tab for my Seiren v2 Pro and the audio snapped back to normal.

Though I’ve somehow made the audio distortion less horrendous with all of my tinkering, there is still a distinct crackle to any audio I’m listening to, as well as my own mic input into calls, while the preview is running. Frankly it’s driving me a bit insane with each pop.

I’d really love to get back to being in video calls with friends so I really hope someone here has a few ideas, google seemed to be suggesting the camera was just dying but getting a new webcam is 100% not in my budget right now.

Hey @polyCadmiumRedretro483,

Just for isolation, can you disconnect your camera and check if you continue to experience the crackling issue? Please also send me a PM with the serial number of your Razer Kiyo Pro so I can verify it in our system and check for applicable workarounds that might address the audio issue.
