I’m not able to update my firmware because I get the following message
When I try to log a support call it says my camera is out of warranty so I cannot log a call. Please advise what I need to do.
thanks

I’m trying to figure it out also.
I saw this from Razer. I’m about to try. I’ll let you know! Hi Did you try connecting the Razer Kiyo to another USB port or computer? I suggest removing all Razer-related files from your PC by running the Razer Driver Clean-up tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj. Once done, please restart your PC, then reinstall the Razer Synapse 3 and its supplementary updates. Let me know if the firmware update commenced this time.
Firmware Razer Kiyo 2.03 R1 (touslesdrivers.com) Go to this site. Download driver. Update camera. Then go download the driver from razer website. Just worked for me!
The offical Razer download for the 2.03 R1 update you need is here: https://dl.razerzone.com/drivers/Kiyo/win/Kiyo_FirmwareUpdater_v2.03_r1.exe
This is of no help.
I’m in the same boat.
The 2.03 R1 link is for the Kiyo, not the Kiyo Pro. Different models. The Kiyo Pro latest firmware is 1.5.0.1.
I did find the drivers on the same site but a different page, scroll to the bottom of:
https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=26&v_code=662
However … none of the 3 old versions found (1.03, 1.04, 1.05) will actually install on my Windows 11 machine. I tried running in compatibility mode for Windows 7, tried running as administrator, and tried both combined. No luck. All give the same “Contact Support” error as the 1.5 updater from Razer directly. And I tried both compatibility and administrator mode with the latest 1.5 updater with no luck, either.
And the archived versions detect the wrong version currently on my camera. 1.5 detects I have 1.03.2 … but the archived updaters detected 1.0. So they may not be working.
Regardless. This was an expensive camera. I didn’t use it much but finally set up a streaming set up and needed to have the camera running for a call tomorrow. Razer … you’ve lost another customer. For life. I’ve owned other Razer products in the past that I had issues with (mostly because Synapse is awful, but also quality control issues).
I really hope people see this mess. Firmware updates should “just work” even if the device is out of warranty. If you’re not going to make sure your updater works … don’t publish it.
For
I finally got this sorted. Some other threads said that they’ve been given replacement cameras even when they’re out of warranty, so I raised a support call even though my camera is out of warranty.
After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing with support I’ve just had a replacement approved. I had to provide proof of purchase and I was given the option of providing evidence of destruction of the camera USB cable and the serial number sticker, rather than sending it back.
Good luck to everyone else.
