Razer Kraken 2019 Edition- Microphone not working

Earlier on in the day, i purchased the headset mentioned in the title. I use a desktop PC which doesn't have a headset combo jack. Because of the lack of a headset jack, i had to use the splitter that came with the headset, and have put the cords in their respective jacks, however the actual sound from the headphones work but the microphone does not. I've done tonnes of research and tried practically everything to fix the problem, but this essentially makes the headset unusable. I bought this headset for the upgraded audio quality from my old G430, making my purpose obsolete
