Razer Kraken Kitty Edition prevents Windows 10 from turning off screen. | Razer Insider

Hello!

I recently got myself a Razer Kraken Kitty Edition (first ever headset from Razer) and ever since my screen won't go to sleep when locked. It turns off for a moment and turns back on as if someone moved the mouse.

It does not seem to be an issue with Synapse or other Razer hardware because the moment I unplug the headset, the screen turns off normally.

I would love to keep this headset but I also don't like it when it causes issues like this. Anybody know a fix for this?
I have the same problem where Windows tries to turn the screen off but it just comes back on after about a second. I have the BlackShark v2 USB headset.

I've also learned to unplug the USB headset or manually turn off my monitor if I'm walking away for a while.

It's definitely a pain and not a good user experience.
I have this issue with the Razer Kraken Ultimate. I will return it if there is no resolution. Any suggestions on headsets that don't have this issue? A friend recommended Astro or Sennheiser.

I discovered the resolution for my setup. My PC and monitors would go to sleep if I either a) unplugged the Razer gaming headset or b) turned off the Alienware gaming monitor. If I left the monitor on and the headset plugged in the monitors would go to sleep and then come back on and the pc would never go to sleep. To fix it so I don't have to do either, I went to sounds settings and disabled my Alienware monitor as a playback device. The monitor has jacks for a mic and headset. None of this showed up in the logs or the event viewer or any PowerShell command output. Just got lucky testing different scenarios. Hope this helps.
I learned from another thread in this forum that since I have a NVidia GPU, if I disable the NVidia Output device in Settings, then there's no conflict with the Razer USB headset and the screen will properly turn off and the computer will go to sleep.

That totally worked!! Struggled with my last system and just reinstalled my razer on my new system and started having the same problems. Razer really does need to actually fix this in a software update. From my research its a problem thats been around for ages!!
