Razer kraken x lite audio muffled

I just got the razer kraken x lite and for some reason the audio is extremely muffled to the point where i cant play games or do anything without it sounding terrible, i have reinstalled my drivers and everything but it doesnt seem to work, does anyone have a solution?

Does the sound quality issue happen after connecting the headset to another 3.5mm port or device such as a laptop or mobile device? Please perform the steps from this link and see if it helps.
