Razer Nari Ultimate Voice crackles in game with thx synapse audio

I am having this frustrating issue playing thx enabled games such as Doom Eternal and Red Dead Redemption 2 where the voices will often crackle. The only fix I can seem to find is plugging the usb dongle into another USB port but upon a restart of the computer the issue starts again. Its incredibly frustrating.
I seem to have resolved the issue myself. Compared to stereo or surround thx synapse is a lot louder and when I set the laptop sound to about 70 rather than 100 and have my headset about right I don't seem to get the same issue. It's like the audio is clipping rather than a crackle. For example the whistle that you do to your horse in RDR2 if I set that at laptop volume 100 and turn the headset up it makes that little crack or perhaps clip whereas if I lower the main volume down and turn the headset up it stops.
