Razer official audio visualizer not working?

Same exact issue here - all my software is up to date, must be a recent bug.

My official chroma visualizer in synapse doesn't work at all? it used to work fine but now it doesn't load. the preview workd but the keyboard just displays the normal custom profile as if it were turned off. it doesn't work with a specific app or with always on. Also on a somewhat unrelated note is it possible to have it turn on with a specific python file open instead of just an exe?
