Hi all,

I am getting this error in my event log every few mins.

Faulting application name: RzSDKServer.exe, version: 1.10.0.150, time stamp: 0x64ae1878
Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.22621.608, time stamp: 0xbbf7fb0e

I have found two other threads.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Doing a clean install using this link…

https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1708

Error is still occuring.

I found a thread that is saying “ucrtbase.dll” is part of a C library and they was told to try reinstalling that, but the thread doesnt say which one. As there are many C library installers.

I have done a SFC scan, that found a few currupt files, but that has not worked either.

Thoughts?

I have the exact same problem. Every 5 minutes this program fails and generates a long list of 947 errors! (ID event 1000). This situation is unacceptable and really annoying and needs to be fixed.

I agree, I kinda solved my problem by installing Synapse 2.x. As I am lucky and the hardware I have supports both synapse 3 and 2.

But from what I have seen, there are alot of other people who have problems with the Razer services.

The only other bit of information I forgot to put in my post. I am running Windows 11 Pro.

I am also running Windows Pro 64. I also have a problem with Razer Synapse Service Process.exe (event 1026, .NET Runtime - v4.0.30319) which stops all the time too. So, I don't know what's going on, but Razer team needs to contact Microsoft to solve this problem together, maybe? I have no idea, but since I renamed RzSDKServer.exe to _RzSDKServer.exe, I have no BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) or reboot anymore. My PC's health is my priority. There is definitely a big problem that needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Thanks for the info.

It is a frustrating problem.Im hoping that more people add their problem to this thread. As if this keeps getting added to, with problems on the Razer SDK service, they might look into the issue.

The problem that I see, is due to differences in systems (software installed and updated). In most situations, every pc is just as unique as a persons finger print. For this reason, there needs to be a back and forth to identify what our systems have in common.

These days, software needs to be coded to be robust. Or issues like this will contiune and never get solved. Making people give up with Razer products, due to poor software support and change both hardware and software to a different provider.

i have the same problem with win10 pro x64: razer chroma sdk rest server & RzSDKServer.exe crashes

however my problems go further, since I installed the Razer Synapse SW (hw: Razer Viper ultimate, Razer goliathus chroma, Razer mouse dock chroma), I have had some problems with other devices, first my Logitech g933 headset stopped working (I was able to fix it by updating the FW), and today my surprise is that the Corsair iCUE has stopped detecting the Corsair h115i elite capelix liquid cooler (I have no way to reconfigure it). I don't know if these failures are related to the rzSDKserver fails, but since I installed this Razer SW it has been problem after problem.

let's hope that these bugs will be fixed soon

Same issue here. It’s causing R6 to crash everytime I start the game now.

While I’m playing any game steam or not my computer will randomly reset, afterwards a razer chroma sdk rest server error report will be generated.

After going to control panel to repair the program Razer made me aware that updates were available, I’ll see if that fixes the issue. If not then I’ll repair it and see what happens.

Didn't fix it, even after updating it still said there was an update. After retrying it wouldn't even finish, so I repaired the program and got rid of anything chroma. Even after the repair it says there's an update still but for now I’m going to see if its fixed.

Same issue here too, haven’t figured out how I can fix it yet.

I fixed the problem. Refer to

I reinstalled Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 package and no more errors appear.

Uninstall “Chroma connect” works, too.

What fixed it for me:

  • Uninstalling:
    • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)
    • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86)
  • Reinstalling both, after downloading them from MS website.

I’ve been having the same problem. Windows 11 pro.

Tried re-installing razer synapse, tried re-installing razer drivers, tried disabling razer sdk server process( this stops crashes but ISNT A SOLUTION).
Please fix it, thank you.

After my first attempt in this thread 8 days ago, I’ve noticed that’s not a final solution.

The issue starts again after a short while.

It’s not just a matter of having an error in the logs! Sometimes when the application fault happens, it causes the whole Windows taskbar & the Windows’ windows manager to get totally unresponsive.

The only solution (now working with zero issues for 7 days) was to uninstall the Chroma Connect module, as already mentioned by headSepiatrend792 in this very thread, and by other users in other threads.

As Sirigath said, disabling app modules it’s definitely not a solution, just a weak workaround.
In my case, uninstalling Chroma Connect makes me unable to control devices lighting through 3rd parties integration, which is one of the reason I went with Razer devices in the first place. Ofc I had to give up on that in order to get a system that does not get unresponsive every 45’, but nobody should be forced to trade features for reliability.

Quite disappointing really, especially considering the price of Razer products.

Please fix it, thank you.

Yep, +1.

This worked for me (so far) and I don’t really love that functionality anyway. TY!

Same issue here. There are a ton of empty log files being made as well. I’ll report back if I find any solutions.

This has been an issue for over 3 years.  how is it not fixed yet?

I have the same issue, and I am uncertain if it is the issue that is causing all my peripherals to stop for a few seconds and then come back online.  Researching that issue is what led me to finding this error and its been happening for month's.  I am a software engineer and I don’t know how this bug can still be around this long with no solution from the dev team.

Hey everyone. So I don’t have a solution as I am facing the same error in the event log, but, I believe it may be a conflict with this new windows feature and I feel we will just have to wait for a patch. I have no proof this the issue, but, it may be a place to start. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/component-guidelines/dynamic-lighting-devices. In the article under Generally compatible devices it says, “A list of generally compatible devices is below. These devices have not been validated by Microsoft and may exhibit bugs with the Dynamic Lighting feature.” Under that it lists peripherals that may exhibit issues which includes my Huntsman Tournament Edition.
