Razer Seiren Mini - Detected, No Sound | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Seiren Mini is being detected by my PC and Apps (Discord), but no sound is being picked up when testing for sound. I ensured the Apps do have permission to access my mic and I’ve been looking up and trying everything I can, but I’m stumped. Can anyone help me?

**The only time sound gets picked up is when the microphone is initially plugged in, but then abruptly stops. I’ll list what I’ve attempted below, if anyone has any further advice or possible solutions, please let me know!**

I’ve tried:

  • Permissions
  • Uninstall/Reinstall Drivers
  • Uninstall and Restart
  • Uninstall, unplug, restart, plug back in.
  • Sound/Recording Settings
  • Devices Settings

Hello LilEixy,

It sounds like you've already tried many troubleshooting steps. If your Razer Seiren Mini is being detected but not picking up sound after the initial plug-in, there might be an issue with the hardware itself. However, before assuming that, you might want to check a few more things:

  • Manually select the input device in the software settings, as some streaming and teleconferencing software require.
  • Make sure that the Razer Seiren is selected as the microphone in the software device settings by doing the following:
    1. Right-click on the sound icon on the system tray of your PC.
    2. Select "Open Sound Settings.".
    3. Set Razer Seiren as the default input device.
  • Test the microphone on another device (if possible) to see if the issue persists.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, PM me your device serial number and proof of purchase so I can check for a replacement option. All the best!
