Razer software conflict causing game crashes / system instability (Windows 11)

Hello Razer Support,

I’m experiencing repeated instability and application crashes that appear to be linked to Razer background services.

System context:

  • Windows 11
  • High-performance gaming PC (RTX 3060 Ti GPU)
  • Games affected: Battlefield / RedSec (DX12)

Issue description:

While gaming, I get random crashes after a few minutes of gameplay. The system itself remains stable, but the game closes unexpectedly.

Logs / observations:

Windows Reliability Monitor and Event Viewer show repeated issues involving:

  • RzDeviceManagerEx
  • Razer background services (Synapse / Cortex / Axon components)
  • “Stopped responding / stopped working” entries
  • Multiple service interruptions during the same timeframe as game crashes

No consistent hardware failure (no system reboot or BSOD), suggesting a user-mode/service-level conflict rather than full system failure.

Steps already tested:

  • Reinstalled GPU drivers
  • Tested game stability under different GPU settings
  • Monitored system logs for hardware errors
  • Isolated other background services

Request:

Could you confirm:

  • whether Razer Synapse / Cortex / Axon services are known to conflict with DX12 games or anti-cheat systems
  • whether there is a recommended “gaming-safe minimal service mode”
  • or if there is a clean installation method that avoids background service interference

If needed, I can provide full logs and timestamps from Event Viewer / Reliability Monitor.
