Razer Synapse 3 error: Failed to write installer file (Permission denied)

Hello

It’s been like 3 days since i’m trying to fix this Issues with Razer Synapse 3 (i really tried EVERYTHING googling everywhere). So, that’s the situation:

It was a normal day, i boot up my pc as i normally do, and i seen that synapse won’t open.. at first i didn’t thought that it was a big issue so tried to open it many times, but nothing. So i decided to unistall it, but i can’t because it won’t open the unistaller to.. i deleted the folder manually and cleaned the registry in any way, and it was removed, but when i try to reinstall the last version of Synapse i keep having this CMD window that pop ups for like 10/5 sec and then its closing..

I don’t really know how to fix that at this point, please help me!

(I also tried to extract the RazerSynapse_V1.13.1.443.exe with 7-zip but didn’t worked too)

I have been having this issue for over a year now. I have done everything to try to fix this problem but nothing just  works. I asked Razer support about my problem and they didnt give any useful information, it was like i was trying to speak to a not fully developed AI that doesnt understand shit. So i guess you just got to wait for the new razer synapse to launch or some shit.

They need a better support fr🤦🏻‍♂️

At the end i tried and alternative, i downloaded OpenRGB and installed an extension for manage the effects. (it's basically Synapse but more easier). hope they will fix that shit anyway some day cause this error is absolutely nonsense.

Ok, so here is what worked for me:

 

  • I extracted the Installer.exe that you download with 7Zip into a new folder on my desktop.
  • Inside of that folder you will then have another Installer.exe
  • Run this .exe and you can install everything per usual

For me it worked perfectly fine, just how the normal installer should. Downloads the Program and then installs it.

I hope it works for you guys too!

Hi @BowGiulius ! Have you possibly found a solution yet? I have made a recent topic about the same issue, although there might be some minor differences in details, but the main problem is the same; Synapse is busted and cannot be reinstalled.

Thanks friend, I spent 3 weeks trying to install Razer Synapse, I did what you said and it worked
