Hello,

Razer Synapse (which I use for my Basilisk V3 Pro) is creating a phantom Xbox 360 controller on macOS, causing issues and interruptions within games and software as it sometimes takes priority over real controllers.

(Location of screenshot: System Settings > Game Controllers)

I have tried erasing the controller, but it reappears instantly as long as Synapse is open.

I have also tried submitting a ticket to Razer support, but the log collection stage doesn’t work, with the launch app button having an invalid address (likely due to it expecting a Windows OS)

I have not found an offical fix to this but what worked for me was to go to the settings → general settings → login items and extensions → driver extensions. there you should see 2 extensions belonging to razer. Disable one and see if it removes the phantom controller if not try the other one. For me the one that fixed the problem when i turned it off was Razer Virtual HID driver extension. Hope this helps

Thank you! I was experiencing the same issue, and the fix described by Fowz1 worked for me as well. In my case, it was causing the Xbox Game Bar to constantly appear inside my Windows VMs running in Parallels. Hopefully Razer will address this in a future release.
