Razer Synapse is VERY slow to respond when rebinding keys.

I used to have no problems remapping the keys on my keyboard in real time. Now each change can take up to 3o seconds, which can really add up. Even getting the Synapse screen to acknowledge that it has been activated can take that long. It is functionally unusable and I need help as this has been the way I have been able to play games that do not allow for key re-binding. I thought it might be an issue with my keyboard being old so I upgraded to a Huntsman Elite and I still have the same problem. It is very frustrating and I can find nothing online about it. It's not just when rebinding keys, I should be more specific, it's when I use the app to anything. Click...sit and wait... Thank you.
