Razer Synapse update erased all keybinds

So, today my razer synapse software updated to version 7.13.0.628 and every single keymap for my Razer Tartarus Pro is just……..gone.

Has anyone else seen this? Will downgrading to a previous version bring my keybinds back? Are they aware that they did this and are working on a fix? Do I need to redo all my keybinds for many dozens of games?

The only reason I buy razer hardware is because all my keymaps are saved in the cloud and this is just…...very disheartening.

I’ve got the same issue going on. No idea why it happened, but it happened after Synapse updated as well.

Well, at least I know I’m not the only one? Do mods ever check these forums or is there a support email I should try following up with?

Are you pursuing any avenues to figure this out?

Well I got on the chat with a support agent. Repairing the software didn’t work, and I can’t actually save any keybinds to the device while in my account. I can however set them when in as a guest….so there’s that. I’m waiting on the agent to email me back now.

I have tried both a repair and an uninstall/reinstall. Neither has done anything to bring my 50+ keymaps back :(

oh god no, I’m afraid that it would create some sort of conflict so that if the issue is fixed the merge of profiles wouldn't happen properly, lol

Unfortunately I can’t create new bindings, but I can create new profiles. Hopefully they have restore points to rollback to after figuring out what’s going on.

 

It’s almost like the account for that part of it can’t communicate with the server.

Also having exactly the same issue. Noticed that on the directional keypad the Left and Down buttons are greyed out/not recognised. The device is now essentially useless. Ticket sent fingers crossed but this is a monumental cockup. Did they hire someone from Windows update?

The same happened to me. I have 3.8.831.90619 Synapse version (as per About tab). Not sure how the OP got 7.13.x. 🙄

It seems some automatic update has happened today, because i’ve got a new Actuation feature notification on opening Synapse. I still have Profiles, Profile per Game setup, Keymaps inside profiles, but all key layouts are reset to the default.

Razer guy recommends to not change or delete existing “damaged” profiles but to create new ones to continue using our devices. They still hope to find a way to restore previous profiles.

I have same issue. Tartarus was working two days ago, now it’s a paperweight. I have a ticket in with Razer, as of ten minutes ago.

I uninstalled, ran the cleaning program, rebooted, reinstalled, tried different USB slots, etc.

Nothing. Very frustrating! I had just added a Kiyo and  Razer Stream Controller, and everything was working just fine. Also have the Black Widow keyboard. 

Aagh! Please don’t do this, Razer!  It’s Windows, I get it, but you can do better!

Also turned my tatarus pro into a paperweight….. Wrote support, no reply. Anyone fix this?

They need better QA testing before releasing these. Mine are fine personally but this isn’t surprising at all.

Still no fix on my end, support so far has asked for the same information provided in the chat session a couple of times now so that’s frustrating. It’s also clear that their techs either do not have a dashboard with ongoing problems or don’t check it  regularly as this should be something they’re aware of at this point.

So in the Reddit thread someone had this:

 

“Just noticed that it seems the profiles still work correctly in game. They show as blank in the app but still work.

Give it a go if you haven't tried.

Still need razer to fix this update though.”

 

Previously the keybinds didn’t work, but today they are but they’re still showing blank/default

Anyone get any kind of useful response from Razer? I’m getting the usual delaying garbage which equates to, ‘have you tried switching it off and back on again’. An official acknowledgement of the problem they have created like over on the reddit thread would be a start. Heres what they bothered to put on Reddit.

Why is there no message or nay useful response  here? Suggest you guys add to thread on Reddit and maybe something will happen?

Razer has released version 3.8.930 which makes existing profiles visible and editable again.
