Razer Viper Ultimate Charging problem

I have recently brought a Razer viper ultimate and love the mouse and the dock, however when my PC is on, i place the mouse on the dock and there is no indication of it charging on the mouse or the dock with synapse open. When i switch the mouse off and place it on the dock the charging indicator on the mouse and the dock light up as normal but when i take the mouse off and turn it on the light indicators just stay on charging and don't revert back to normal. the only way that i can get it to reliably charge with the light indicator on only the mouse is when the computer is in sleep mode. i recently sent back a viper ultimate because Razer told me to and got a new one and the problem still persists. this must be a software problem. i have tried downloading recent firmware and reinstalling synapse and nothing works. I've also tried closing all other lighting apps on my PC to see if its interference and that didn't work either. can someone help?
