razer viper ultimate does not work without cable

Hello. There was a problem with the wireless operation of the mouse. When the mouse is connected via cable, everything works. When without a cable, it glows but the cursor does not move. Tried reinstalling drivers - didn't help. Help, please. Important for work

Sorry to hear about your ongoing concern while using the Razer Viper Ultimate. Does the behavior happen while connecting the device to another USB port or computer? Also, plug the mouse directly into your computer’s USB port, not a USB hub.

With a connection to another computer, the situation is the same.I've tried changing the usb port, but it still doesn't work. And another strange moment. When I close the sensor with my finger, the light near the dpi switch turns off, when I remove my finger, it turns on

Can u help me?

I have the same issue, same mouse. It showed up after some years of using it and it was just suddently. Maybe some software update either by windows or razer itself side… It’s so sh**ty, Everyday I regret more buying this s**d mouse… Since the very beggining the charging dock didn’t work

I am having the same issue. It happened spontaneously and I haven’t been able to make the mouse work properly without having the cable attached. The light will flash white but the pointer won’t move on the screen when using the mouse without the cord. The main purpose for this mouse was that it was wireless so I really need help on getting this issue fixed.

I have found a temporary fix. You have to bring up task manager and go to processes. You have to close anything razor related in apps and background processes. Ensure EVERYTHING razor related is closed even if they reappear while you are closing them. Swap the plug back into the USB receiver and it should work wireless. Every time you restart your PC you might have to do this process unfortunately.

I now have the same issue, same mouse. I have tried on laptop and desktop same issue. It works fine with cable  but when on wireless (usb connected to main computer) cursor does not move and buttons do nothing. The computer can see it but the mouse does nothing.

We need a solution please.

Sadly people in Razer are uncompetitive and lazy. They don't do anything with this problem.... Only what they want are money... next mouse i will buy rather from Logitech :)

I am having the same issue with my Quartz Razer Viper Ultimate and even bought a new dongle hoping that would help. Spoiler: it didn’t. Very angry that I wasted my money.

I have the same issue, i found that the problem isn’t the mouse or the dongle or the receiver, but the synapse app, i closed every process from razer and the lighting in my receiver came back and the side buttons work. I hope this helps. Razer plz fix your sh-stuff

I’m having the exact same issue, and every single time, it happens when I pick up the mouse off the table.  It stops working, and I have to connect it to the cable to get the cursor to move.  I’ll try closing the synapse app next time; maybe that’ll help.  I ordered this mouse from Amazon, so I’m tempted to return it while I still can.

Same issue here. Closing all razer apps and software does not help as well. Razer fix this asap

I have finally found a fix!! I had the same issue and I found it was because the usb receiver failed a firmware update.

Step 1. Download razer firmware updater, and razer mouse pairing utility

Step 2. Open task manager and end all razer processes

Step 3. Run firmware updater and have the mouse connected via cable and the reciever plugged into a usb port on your pc; allow it to update

Step 4. close firmware updater and run mouse pairing utility, follow its steps

Step 5. If all of the previous steps were successful your mouse should work wirelessly now so set it back up to your wireless setup; run synapse again to let it run in the background

I’m having this same exact issue and I can’t even seem to update the firmware….anytime i press “update” it just stops halfway and tells me an update is required.
