Razer Wolverine Ultimate - M1,2,3,4,5,6 remap?

I have a Razer Wolverine Ultimate and I also have the Razer Controller Setup for Xbox app from the Microsoft Store. I have the latest version of Synapse, as well. However, my question pertains to the multi-function buttons on the controller. I don't understand why the available reassignment options for remapping these extra buttons only covers the buttons that are already available on the face of the controller or the shoulder buttons! I would like to assign some of these multi-function buttons to duplicate keyboard strokes, such as Function Keys (F1,F2,etc). There doesn't seem to be a way to do this. I've even explored 3rd party apps that claim to be able to grant these types of shortcuts, but they don't cover Razer products. I am a diehard Razer fan. I have 11 Razer products. But, this is pretty frustrating. There's literally no need to remap extra buttons to buttons that already exist. How do you assign these extra buttons to duplicate keyboard keys??? C'mon Razer!

Razer really needs to fix this. Currently they market the controller as “next-gen customisation” which will spoil you for choice….unfortunately that is currently not the case and will have to get a refund which is a huge shame because the hardware is almost faultless.

I just bought the V3 pro, and can not believe synapse does not control it. As mentioned above, 6 extra button that I can remapped to… existing buttons. This is just lazy and frustrating, love the controller otherwise, but absolutely useless waste of money. Please fix this Razer

i was about to receive mine and as said : “they market the controller as “next-gen customisation” which will spoil you for choice”. When it’s just “hey check this new buttons made only to have already existing button on the back because…. we don’t know why you would need 2 or 3 A button but it looks cool !”

After using it for a week, I love the feel and response, second to none, it drove me nuts that I could not remap.

Even with third party apps, there simply is no way that I can fine to assign keyboard or even mouse buttons to the controller. Not sure why Synapse does not recognize the controller, just the cheap after thought app.

Anyway, TL’DR, I returned the beautiful package of well designed controllers, RAZER: SOFTWARE MATTERS!

Did the same, i refused the package since i saw a console manufacturer elite gamepad have the 4 back buttons mappable

Is there a 3rd software I could use?

I really wish I had looked into this.  Marketing is one step away from perjury.
Yes.. it’s “customizable” to be a button you already have and can press.

I have an extremely nice standard-a** controller with two extra buttons that are as useful as back pockets on a tee-shirt.

All, I feel your pain. Just bought one cause it was half price. I read all about the software that only lets you remap to other buttons on the controller. Ok. Seems strange, but I thought that if I was playing a game with the control and the game allowed me to customize the controls, I could just choose whichever M button I wanted in that game. Nope. None of the M buttons register a key press, and if you map it, it only registers that mapping.

Kinda disappointed. I believe this is a pretty old controller, but I can't believe Razer hasn't released an update to the firmware/software to make this possible.

If you know if the community has hacked something together, let me know. I'll share if I find anything.

Razer I beg you please fix the mapping issue! there is no reason I shouldn’t be able to map buttons to other inputs that are not from the controller, especially if they are all also razer products!!! Nor should I have to pay extra to a third party to make an already incredible remote I purchased more usable. And from what I’ve been reading, may not even work anyway. I want my money’s worth.

And hey, here’s an idea if you haven’t fixed this bs cause of propriety bs or not wanting 3d parties fiddling with the remote (if it isn’t just due to laziness); just make it  possible not only just through the razer synapsis app but also the other inputs available be only from other razer registered devices on the app. It meets both sides of this purchase halfway and frankly it make most customers that use razer happy.

Since let’s be honest, most average consumers that buy remote controls for games wouldn’t even consider a razer remote control unless they already had tried other razer products or purchased some in the past. Not for any fault of the company or the product it’s self mind you, but because the average jo isn’t buying one for best performance. Rather, most would by a controller from a brand that is popular, comfy and affordable. But people that try your products do so for a lot more than that and fall in love with BOTH the customization and performance. So it makes sense that it’s expected at this point, that the controllers meet the same standards put up by the rest of your available products.

From a consumer that has purchased many of products and still currently using them at this moment, please fix this.

The v3 pro wont ever get macros and the like, its a competition controller so they are against tournament rules.
