Basically, the USB-C connection area doesn't really have anything locking it in place. This means the cable is able to wiggle around, which can cause the controller to disconnect & reconnect. It doesn't always fully reconnect after this though, so you have to fully unplug it & plug it back in.
I "fixed" this by adding a piece of suede with a self adhesive backing on the top side of the USB-C cable. This adds enough friction to "lock in" the cable & keep it from randomly disconnecting when moving the controller around/etc when playing.
For the next version, maybe the team should design it where the connection is slightly recessed/has a surround? This would keep it from wiggling & having these disconnect issues.
PS: Please bring back fully tactile/mechanical buttons again? Pretty please with chroma on top? I'm not a fan of the membrane mechanical hybrid...
Thanks for the idea. I had this problem with my son’s controller about 3-4 weeks after his warranty expired. I hope this will help get it working again as his USB-C connection has almost completely failed at this point. Where did you get the self adhesive suede that you used for this? Any recommendations for other possible supplies to do a similar fix?

I just used tape to keep the cable and port connected. No connection problems after that.
such a janky connection on this controller - SHAME RAZER SHAME
It’s very frustrating that it would suddenly disconnect from time to time in the middle of a gaming session! The cable is fully connected, only slight wiggles are possible, shouldn’t be enough to cause disconnection.
