RazerBlade 15 Base 2020 + Razer Core X Chrome / EVGA 3070ti Lower FPS then dGPU | Razer Insider

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the eGPU world and seem to be running into a problem that I can't quite put my finger on.

When I benchmark with Heaven and FurMark, I actually achieve 140fps for Heaven and over 200fps for FurMark. However, I am a Division 2 player and this one does not show the same result. I have trouble reaching 70fps and I rather have an average of 40fps to be generous. When I test the game with my dGPU, a 2070 Max-Q, the game is above 100fps. I also tried with Horizon and Cyberpunk 2077 with similar results.

As the title suggests, my setup is a RazerBlade 15 Base 2020 laptop coupled with a Razer Core X Chroma equipped with an EVGA 3070 TI card, running Windows 11. The goal is to relieve my laptop of the thermal load of the dGPU. These things get hot in the summer without air conditioning.

I tried everything I could find, guides I've found, the reinstallation of the drivers with DDU (in safe mode of course), external screens, manipulations energy saving in Windows and NVIDIA drivers, and so on. Nothing seems to help.

Your help would be more than greatly appreciated please.
