Is it Possible to use 2 razer chroma argb controllers in synapse?
I got 2 of them but I can't get synapse to recognize them both at the same time even when I try separate ports.
I would have never expected this to be an issue. Anyone else having this issue? or does someone know a workaround?

I have the same issue. Windows has recognized the 2 usb chroma ARGB but Synapse not.
:frown_::mad_::eek_:o_O Waiting and waiting still no support!
Just got off the phone with tech support. they told me synapse 3 can only detect one. I'm afraid we are going to have to start a petition to get some software developers to get some work done.

I can't believe this! Razer is going to advertize the all in one solution to fix your RGB. then limit you to 6 ports and not allow you to connect a second controller.
this is an absolute FAIL!

THIS ISSUE should have been fixed before the hardware was released!
I'm so sick of buying new hardware that doesn't work properly out of the box.
I realize this product just came out but I really need to be able to connect about 4 of these hubs to get all of my hardware lit.

I'm really praying that the razer synapse developers are going to fix this issue!
This is a big problem and I know that there are plenty of other users like me experiencing this same issue!

Razer is going to consistently lose money until they fix this problem! Like time is ticking as far as I'm concerned! Because if I cant get my lights working with these controllers. then really I have no point in keeping just one. I'm not only taking one back I'm taking them both back to BestBuy & razer is losing the sale of my 80.00 because this is really a missed opportunity! on razers part! at the end of the day, this hub is going into a build. that's what it's made for! and we don't need it to be complicated! If they don't update synapse to support my second hub I'm just going to have to go back to Thermaltake ARGB hubs. then I can just sync the Thermaltake RGB plus software with synapse. The representative did not have any information about software updates.
I could say some good things about the build quality of the hardware but this is not a review!
I'm Really generally sad & disappointed! & really have my fingers crossed that razer is going to engage this issue and give an official response. & release and update to synapse for support of more than one Razer Chroma ARGB Controller

Well here's 2 more getting returned. Being limited to 6 ports does me no good when I bought these so I could have everything controlled in one place.

Doesn't appear to be any open source alternatives to Chroma for these either as of yet (no surprise given how new it is) and I'm not counting on it to come later. Not going to miss my return window on wishes.
That's probably a smart move man! I can't believe razer is doing this to people. I thank you for posting and letting us know. I really hope someone from razer sees this!
You just lost 160.00 USD razer as I said. Time is ticking!
People are going to be so pissed when they get home with their new hubs and find out one doesn't work! due to software limitation!
Bump! Bump! wow, almost a month and still not one reply. trying to get support for razer products on this website is a compleate waste of time!
I have the same Problem. This Software needs definetly support for more than 1 Controller! But not only that. I think it must be clearly stated on their Website or while buying, that Razer Synapse - for now - is only recognizing 1 Controller!! I ordered two of them and will now return them both back to Razer. Very sad!

CobaltBluebuzzfocus262 YOU ARE 100% CORRECT THERE IS NO INFORMATION POSTED ANYWHERE THAT ONLY ONE RAZER CHROMA ARGB CONTROLLER CAN BE USED! RAZER JUST DECIDED TO BE A COMPLEAT BUTHEAD AND GO AHEAD AND LET TONES OF PEOPLE BUY A PRODUCT THAT WON'T EVEN FUNCTION.
I have a little update. I also talked to Razers Support. In general the Support confirmed, that it is not possible to connect a second Controller with Synapse3. But apperently it seems they are working on it, because of public demand. So lets see and cross fingers that this will happen in the near future. If not, i will have to change to Corsair Products and iCUE...

BTW: i have also mentioned that it would be highly appreciated, that an information is given on their website about the circumstance, that only one controller can be connected with Synapse3. The Support said, that he will give this hint to the responsible Team. Lets see if something happens...(i really doubt it)

Yeah, I pretty much told them the same thing you did! I would hope that we could get some type of official engagement or response. People are buying 2 of this daily with no knowledge that they aren't going to work properly together.
Same here. I just bought 2 and realised one couldn't be detected. I was really hoping to use one with Ambient Awareness behind my monitor to replace my Asus Terminal HALO setup. 😢
Any news on this topic? Has it been fixed or is there any other updates? I'm looking to buy 2 as I have 9 fans in my pc-o11 case
I have the same problem. Before my order, a Razer support employee tells me that it is not possible at the moment, but that there will be an update for this in the future.
Since I do not want to rewire everything with every update to find out that it still does not work, I contacted Razer support again after the last Synapse update.
This time, however, I was told that Synapse can only recognize one controller and that this will not be possible. There was suddenly no more word about an update which makes it possible.

Furthermore, I also have massive performance drops due to Snypase (especially when the ambient mode is active). I have opened a new thread about this. Please write something about it, if you have the same problems.
Hopefully Razer then realizes that they can't rip us off with such bad software and support. especially at the prices.

To tbh razer we like yo products but why not invest in better customer service and software development! I want no excuse you can't do it! because I'm a software developer and I know it's totally possible. it's just not getting the love it deserves and as a launch product buyer, the consumer is suffering! not to mention the constant confusion of the next buyer who's not aware that USING MORE THAN ONE HUB IS NOT POSSIBLE! with That being a total deal-breaker! HAY RAZER! ARE YOU ever going to give us a conclusion? or ultimatum? if you are not going to fix it I want my money for my 2 hubs back! I'm still waiting for an update!

I'm also talking to a support employee about another big problem. I have also pointed out our problem again and asked if there will be a solution soon, but his answer has given me little courage, but read for yourself:

That's something that I need to forward to our Support Team and devs too. The Razer Synapse 3.0's algorithm can't detect the same PID_VID or USB IDs. That's the reason why Razer Synapse can't also detect two identical devices at the same time. Nonetheless, allow me to forward this feedback/request to the team. There are no guarantees if this will be approved or considered in future updates, but I'll ensure that team will be notified. Please send this to our devs via Razer Synapse 3.0's feedback section too


I have now decided to sell my RGB controller and the HDK via Ebay again and switch to another brand. I have opted for the Farbwerk 360 from aquatuning. The software is worlds better and more extensive and it can be installed as many (even the same) devices. Unfortunately, it is currently difficult to buy the parts. But I have already asked the support here for a statement. as soon as I have an answer I can give you notice...
