Razor Barracuda twist base snapped with four months of use

I have had the razor headset for four months and I started noticing cracks and very light squeaking when I turned the headphone joints side to side. Today the right side had a little plastic fall off, dislodging the cord. is there a way to fix/replace/Get a refund?

Hi @appleipodlol,

I’m sorry to hear about what happened to your headset. Please PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and check our options. Thank  you!

wait so you cant fix it?

Got the same problem.  Started about 6month in and now both sides of plastic are cracked.
This is a design defect.  During normal use when putting on the headphone the cups rotate.  As the cups rotate they catch an edge on the plastic part of the headband.  Over time the plastic breaks.

Also having the same issues after only 3 months of regular use.

I created a ticket, will follow up with their response to this design flaw.  I’m honestly looking to get my money back and spend it on a product that will last longer.  I love razer products but I need these for work and can’t worry about them not lasting.  Really would have liked to see these joints done more like the blacksharks.

I’ve had the same problem after 3-4months of normal use. Contacted them, they tried to play it as customer induced damage. After a few emails backwards and forwards explaining this is a design flaw on the clearance on the swivel and improper placement of the plastic seam, they accepted to send me a replacement (as a gesture of goodwill). Had to cut the charging cord and serial number in half and send a picture. Got my replacement and about 5 months later guess what: Same thing happened in the same place. Identical damage. As its now been over 1year (from the initial purchase) the warranty expired :)

Should've asked for a refund. Shame as I love these headphones otherwise.

Good Luck guys :)

I have the same problem for just 9 months. Can this be fixed or replaced? Need help

I have the same problem. although my warranty is still valid, they rejected my request and said it was customer induced. although it was regular use.

These headphones were amazing, until they broke putting them on, now they are garbage. I’m well within my warranty, It’s obvious this is a manufacturing issue. I primarily use these for work meetings and very occasional gaming. When not in use, they stay in their case. This should not be given a blanket label of customer induced damage and dismiss every customer. I spent the $250 because I thought I was getting a quality product with superior support.

Exact same thing happened to me. This are my second pair of headset from Razer. Please replace them or I won’t buy anything from you again…

I bought 2 of these on January and March, for my sons birthday and my birthday. A couple of weeks ago my son came to me telling that his headset left joint is broken. I got angry with him telling how the hell he broke it. He said he didn’t brake it, just turned the headpiece to put on and it cracked and ear piece fell down from the joint. We tried to put it back on but couldn’t do it and I grounded him for damaging his equipments.

Yesterday during normal use, my headsets left earpiece broke when I was trying to put them on, just like my sons headset. Exactly on the left side joint, it cracked and not possible to put pack in and it because unusable. So I researched and found out that I’m not alone.

The problem is I bought this from Amazon, and the seller is Amazon also. But Amazon is dodging my warranty options and sending me to false technical support people which have no idea about the product or the problem.

same issue here, and I had it just for a month. anybody who got approved for RMA? I have lost hope already this costs so much over here and prolly would stay broken or hideous with super glue or what ever fix I can apply on my own
