I have a brand new Blackwidow V4 X keyboard and the right Shift key is not lit when Synapse is running. I had the keyboard replaced from the shop I purchased it from thinking it was faulty, however the second keyboard shows the same issue!

Also when I use Chroma Studio; static profile; all keys white apart from the Shift key being blue, the up cursor key appears blue and the Shift key is not lit.

Configuration in Chroma Studio:

tl;dr: Use the Beta-Version. It fixed the Problem for me: https://www.razer.com/eu-en/synapse-new

I had the same issue with Razer Synapse and my brand new Blackwidow V4 X.

The color that is configured for the “Right Shift”-Key in the software is applied on the “Up Arrow” on the keyboard, while the “Right Shift”-Key itself is not lit up at all.

If Razer Synapse is not running every key is lit up. So this seems to be a software related issue.

Following another Post (https://insider.razer.com/razer-support-45/my-right-shift-key-doesn-t-light-up-when-synapse-3-is-open-55284?postid=203063#post203063) I tried “The New Synapse” which fixed the Problem for me as well. Don’t forget to restart your PC after the install (there were no Updates to the keyboard before the restart).

I recommend exporting your color presets, since they all get removed! (which didn’t happen to me at all :D)
