Required Software for wireless keyboard/mouse

I am looking at purchasing a wireless mouse and keyboard for my work laptop, but they have informed me that I can only use ones that do not require additional software to install. I know from owning other razer products that there is the Razer synapse program that can control features, but is it required for these products to function? Can I just hook a razer wireless mouse and keyboard up to my computer without utilizing the software? I was unable to find an answer to this elsewhere. Hoping someone can help me out!

Yes, the peripherals can function without Synapse running in the background. You won't need it unless you want to set up macros or custom lighting effects.
