Seiren X audio issue - Volume up/down, only left/right audio

Heya, when I turn the volume up on my Seiren X, I only get audio in the right ear. When I turn it down, only in the left. This is an issue that has progressed from what was once a minor issue where adjusting the volume knob would result in a static spot. It's out of warranty, but before I buy a new one I was just curious if this is something that could be fixed? I've been trying to google this issue but I've had a hard time finding relevant info. Thanks!
