Sila: App cannot connect when Sila is in Bridge mode? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I am running a sila in bridge mode, and the app cannot connect to it.

And as some configuration features are not available in the web interface (as I will post in another thread) I cannot use them. So changing wifi channels or controlling the LED logo is not possible.

I see no mention of a telnet server in the, quite frankly, very shallow documentation. And as the product does not response to telnet requests I assume that it is not running a telnet server.

Why would you design the product like that? I am assuming that there is a technical or financial reason and I am curious to hear what it is.
Setting a router to bridge mode usually disables the router capabilities and turns them into access points. If you still want to access all the functions it should not be put in bridge mode.

I am not talking about router capabilities ... I want to be able to control the wifi channels of the bridged unit and control the LED functions

May I remind you that these functions are not available in the web interface
I see... you mean you want to choose the exact wifi channel? Right now there is no such function on Sila (even in the app) as it is meant to automatically select the least congested channel.

As for the LED, I'll see if we can do something about having that in webUI, but the immediate workaround would be to have the router in non-bridge mode, turn off the LED, then reactivate bridge mode.
