SO6110-BIOSv0200_v3.1.exe - RZ09-0528x May 22 - Windows hello enabled

Hello

Today May 22 there was a new bios update for RZ09-0528x - v2.0 when I run it I get a message Windows hello is enabled, please disable it, restart PC and install update. If using PIN is the only way how to sign into my account, how am I supposed to disable it? Do I need to be in safe mode or something? Disable it somewhere in bios?

Anyone knows any workaround for this to update the bios?

Thanks

Only a local account worked for me to do the update - was also presented with a corruption message after the BIOS update which I had to ‘Y’ to reset it.

Windows booted back OK after though

Yeah the local admin account worked.  The corruption msg that is TPM/Secure boot and that is fine, that’s how it is supposed to work when bios or hardware changes.

This bios update does not fix the touch pad issue, just in case someone is interested.

It didn’t fix my laptop screen + Samsung G8 via HDMI working either (trackpad is probably a hardware issue) - but some people reporting on Reddit it fixed the HDMI for them so maybe a clean install …. again :(

4k USD liability, not an asset.

I was able to disable Windows Hello without needing a local account. I believe you’d have to turn off this setting: “For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended)”.

The update also resulted with a scary message at the end for me (fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or structure changed). I didn’t have Bitlocker or encryption enabled so I just pressed Y to reset fTPM. Everything was fine for me after that

I take it back - I can now use the internal display and the external Samsung G8 - not messed with the settings to see if VRR/240mhz all supported
