Splitter cable on Blackshark v2 x defective

Have just received my Blackshark v2 x. Sounds great however there is an issue with the mic. Using the splitter my voice is barely audible no matter what i change in the settings (gain etc). If i dont use the splitter the mic works just fine. Any ideas?
