I use a Razer Blackshark V2 Pro with 5.1 surround which worked fantastically by itself, then I got a Razer Blackwidow keyboard (which broke not 2 years after I bought it), in trying to fix my keyboard I downloaded Synapse, and then I made the Fatal Mistake of updating the software to my headset.
Little did I know that would disable surround sound completely. I downloaded Synapse (again), and toggled the THX spatial option, which does nothing, I downloaded the THX sound suite from the Microsoft store, which did nothing, the option to have surround playback from the Sound menu is no longer an option.
I practically no longer have a gaming headset. It’s just a pair of stereo headphones, that can’t even sync with my phone because it needs the usb bluetooth adapter.
From what I see of forums is that this is an Issue that has been persisting for months with no fix.
