Synapse 2 won't update

I've downloaded the 2.21.24.34 installer, but after install, it wants to update. I keep getting the "cannot connect to internet" error. I think it's because I'm at work, and something is blocking it. Is it possible to get a newer version of this software so it doesn't need to update immediately after install? As it is, my death adder chroma is not detected. It appears there no way to contact Razer about this, so not sure what to do. I was thinking I could get a newer mouse, and that way I could use Synapse 3, but I think I may run into the same issue.

Hey there! Was everything covered? Have you checked your anti-virus or firewall if it's blocking any Razer Synapse-related files? Please clean reinstall your Razer Synapse 2.0 and see if it helps.

Thanks for the reply. Yep, I tried uninstalling completely (even the other files in various folders like someone else described). After a fresh install, still the same connection problem. I think it is something in my company network that's blocking it, but we're a huge company, and I have no control over the firewall. Is there any way to get the newest version of the software (the version that the one I downloaded is trying to update to)? If it wants to update immediately, there must be a newer version than 2.21.24.34? Or maybe an update patch I can install manually, instead of having the software try to do it?

I see. Please contact your network admin or I.T staff so they can allow your Razer Synapse to update. By the way, the update goes to your Synapse automatically since there's no downloadable manual patch available. If this is a laptop, try updating it using a different network and see if it helps.

OK, no worries. I took my work PC off the main network and connected to public wifi via a USB adapter. Synapse was able to complete the update, and it sees my mouse now. Definitely must've been something on the network blocking it.
